And if there is one day on the Norwegian calendar which demands the popping of great bottles, and the serving of delightful food, then it is our day of national celebration.
17th May weekend at Tollbua
This year the big day falls on a Sunday, so we have put together a whole weekend full of tasty ways to celebrate!
The weekend kicks off with afterwork on Friday 15th May, 4pm-6pm, with a DJ in the lounge and plenty of bubbles available by the glass. Have you tried our lounge snacks yet? Free entry, drop ins welcome, table reservation available by contacting booking directly.

Saturday lunch
On Saturday we are open from midday for lunch. Come and enjoy a delicious three course lunch for just 595,- per person.
Saturday is also the day to pick up your 17th May food box (read more here). The restaurant is open for dinner, serving our signature 4- and 6-course menus. What better way to celebrate the long weekend than enjoying great Nordic Gourmet Bistro cuisine, with friends and family, in Tollbua’s iconic location?
This year, join us at Brattørkaia for a delicious three-course 17th May lunch at Tollbua – Christopher Davidsen’s Nordic gourmet bistro. Priced at just NOK 745, the special menu showcases premium ingredients and seasonal favourites:
Lightly smoked Arctic char
Green asparagus salad, rye pops and peaso butter sauce
Grilled veal with aromatics
White asparagus, morels, soft potato pillows and veal jus
Norwegian strawberries
Mascarpone cream, rhubarb and lemon verbena
Your table is reserved for 2.5 hours, and we are also offering a range of exceptional add-ons to elevate your 17th May celebration – including oysters, scallops, chicken wings, vendace roe, caviar, and of course a wide selection of sparkling wines available by the glass or bottle.

Of course it would not be a proper 17th May celebration without something outstanding in the glass… at least not when doing it in style at Tollbua!
Wine pairing and Champagne pairing is available, as well as a special alcohol-free drink pairing. If you would prefer to select something from our extensive wine list please do so, either on the day or ahead of time (so that we can prepare the bottle accordingly ahead of your visit).
There are two seating times available this year:
First seating: 12:00 – 13:00
Your table is reserved for two hours or until the next seating begins.
Second seating: 15:00 – 17:00
During the second seating, you can expect a more festive atmosphere and no time restrictions on how long you stay at the table!

This year we are offering a fantastic food box, with the best of Tollbua’s catering, to be enjoyed with friends and family on your 17th May breakfast.
The package is curated by Christopher Davidsen and includes high quality ingredients like homemade roast beef, fennel salami from Tind and the restaurant’s very own smoked salmon. You can also pimp it with tasty additions, ranging from our killer new hot wings and range dip, to boxes of Oscietra Gold caviar (Christopher’s favourite!).
Order by 12th May for collection on the 16th.
