Daytime Chef

Matigruppen AS is a newly-established food & drink company. With a big heart for people, professionally and guest experiences, we set a new standard for restaurant management. Norwegian Gourmet Bistro
Trondheim’s venerable old customs house is the location for our first concept, Tollbua – the flagship of the Mati brand.

Tollbua is be a playful gourmet bistro with local ingredients and flavours from around the world. The food must be genuine and innovative with a clear quality profile. We have one of the city’s best wine cellars and can promise you wonderful combinations between food and wine. With us, you can look forward to a good meal made by chefs who are passionate about their profession, served with a smile and commitment, and with a perfectly matched drink in the glass.

At Tollbua, we can accommodate groups of all sizes, whether you are 5, 50 or 150. Our premises can be adapted to most events, and are excellent for both banquets and mingling. Tollbua is a full-service food and wine house where we serve the food we love.

Daytime Chef 

  • We are looking for a motivated chef to take responsibility for the canteen and daytime service at Tollbua
  • Monday to Friday
  • The chef will also be responsible for private events during the day at Tollbua
  • Additional responsibilities will include mis en plas for evening service
  • The succesful candidate will work closely with the head chef and sous chef 

Desired qualifications and characteristics:

  • Relevant experience from similar positions
  • Great capacity for work
  • Great commitment to the individual and guest experiences
  • Interest in finance and operations
  • Experience with personnel management and roster systems
  • Flexible and solution-oriented
  • Lean forward and energetic
  • Good interpersonal skills
