André Lurton
André Lurton is one of the most important producers in the Entre-Deux-Mers and Pessac-Léognan appellations. He was born at Château Bonnet in 1924 and has lived there ever since. He was the man behind the creation of the Pessac-Léognan quality appellation in 1987, which stopped the expansion southwards of the city of Bordeaux and preserved the unique soil, consisting of gravel, in this area.
André Lurton is a family business of passionate winemakers since 1897. André had seven children. After his death, it is today his son Jacques and granddaughter Mathilde who follow in his footsteps and continue his innovative spirit that has been at the heart of the company since its foundation.
Jacques Lurton took over the presidency of Vignobles André Lurton in 2019. He has made it his mission to produce high-quality wines using environmentally friendly methods that delight wine lovers around the world. He uses all his knowledge and experience as an oenologist and winemaker to continue and develop the family business. His experience from more than twenty countries around the world has given him an inspired and creative vision that he now brings to Vignobles André Lurton.

Mathilde de Caix-Lurton,
Mathilde de Caix-Lurton, André Lurton’s granddaughter, became CEO of the group in 2022. With her international background, including five years managing wineries in Spain, she uses her experience and energy to develop and expand the family business.
Their mission is to produce brilliant quality wines with a sustainable commitment. Good wines start in the vineyard and so all their wines are made with carefully selected grapes, 100% from the winery’s own vines. Vintage after vintage, this allows the family to guarantee both a constant supply and reliable quality to customers all over the world.
Since 2017, all wines have been certified HVE3, which guarantees an excellent level of biodiversity in the vineyards. In addition, a whole program to rebalance the ecosystem of the vineyards has been implemented, with the creation of an eco-garden on the grounds of Château Bonnet.
