Winemaker’s Dinner with Gusbourne (UK)
Wednesday 23rd April 2025, 7pm

Vineyards in England have exploded in popularity in recent years. They are often small and independent, and each winery is different from the next.
It is with great pride that we can announce that our second winemaker’s dinner of the season is with Gusbourne from Kent in the UK!
The event is part of Trondheim Vinfest 2025, and we are happy to say that this marks the British winery’s second visit to Tollbua.

The Gusbourne vineyard, with its 60 hectares, is located just an hour outside of London. Their range of sparkling wines is critically acclaimed and highly sought after, especially their Blanc de Blancs, with complex notes of citrus fruit, green apple, and nectarine, with hints of toasted brioche and hazelnut.
It is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, which are hand-picked and whole-cluster pressed, with the juice left to settle naturally for up to 36 hours before the fermentation process begins.

Fra Gusbourne:
Following a number of years of Asian travel and work in aid & development, Duncan took a degree in Anthropology, which was followed by teacher training. The shock of this latter experience brought him to his senses, and he opted for a career choice based on a passion: wine.
Duncan has now been a wine trade professional for over 25 years, engaged in both selling and buying, across all business channels (specialist and grocer retail, on-trade, travel retail). He holds the WSET Wine Diploma and judges at the International Wine Challenge every year. Duncan has designed wine training courses for clients and written and delivered lectures on aspects of fine wine and travel retail.
In his spare time, he enjoys time with his family, sharing good food and wine, reading, walking the dogs, hiking thought hills and mountains, running, swimming, cycling, yoga and fencing.
His current role is to manage Gusbourne’s international markets, which takes him wining and dining, training and presenting (and some number crunching) across the four corners of the globe.

Join Tollbua and Gusbourne’s Duncan Brown for an evening of exceptional wine and food.
