The Ski VM returns to Trondheim and Trøndelag for the first time since 1997. The first time World Championships in Nordic skiing disciplines was hosted here, they created memories for life. For the participants, visitors and residents of the city.
This year is expected it to be even bigger and better, and we are looking forward to hosting many of you during these exciting weeks.
What to expect at Tollbua
Tollbua will be open every day during Ski VM, offering the best après ski dining experiences. There will be a special menu on offer, alongside lots of great drinks and snacks, making Tollbua the perfect place to warm your body and soul after a long day cheering on the slopes.

In addition to the restauarnt, Tollbua boasts a large conference area, with room for up to 300 guests. You can choose between sit down dinners for up to 120 in the conference hall, private dining experiences in smaller rooms, cooking classes in Christopher Davidsen’s test kitchen, or wine tasting in the Chambre with Food & beverage Director, Henrik Dahl Jahnsen.
Tollbua will have special lighting, decoration, sound system and stage set up during the championships, so if you would like to take your celebration to the next level we are ready for you! There will also be large screens in all our rooms so you can follow the action and see the daily prize ceremony.

Food & Drink experiences
At Tollbua, we never compromise on quality. Regardless of whether you are a group of six coming in for some warmth after a long day on the slopes, or a group of 100 celebrating a big win. We serve you the food and drink we are proud of, based on the best local ingredients. Nordic Gourmet Bistro cuisine, under the guidance of Chef Patron Christopher Davidsen.
Chef Davidsen is a Bocuse d’Argent (2017) and previously won a Michelin star at Speilsalen restaurant, before launching Tollbua to international acclaim in 2024. The restaurant was quickly recognised in the Michelin Guide and has gone on to host many prestigious events.
In the restaurant we offer a 4 and 6 course menu (along with some special tweaks for the occasion). In the South Wing we offer 3, 4 and 5 course menus, which can be tailored to your specifications. Drinks pairing is provided by five times Norwegian champion, and Michelin Guide Nordic sommelier Award winner 2021, Henrik Dahl Jahnsen.
Activities & Entertainment
We also offer wine tasting classes and cooking courses. These are extremely popular and availability is limited, so please reach out in good time if your would like to organise a class.
Alternatively, we collaborate with quality event organisers in Trondheim who can help source entertainment and activity for the occasion.

You may also book a restaurant table online for groups of up to 12 people, however there are limited tables of that size in the main restaurant, so if you cannot find availability please reach out directly. Getting here
The entrance to Tollbua is opposite Rockheim museum. Tollbua is located in the historic customs house, on the dockside in Trondheim. The restaurant is located walking distance from the city centre (15 minutes) and is easily accessible by car, using the 706 ring road without having to go through the city.
There is ample underground parking available at Brattøra P-Hus and Pirbadet P-hus. The train station is a few minutes walk from Tollbua, as is the ferry terminal. There are several bus routes into the area (see here for more details).
