Tollbua’s Hunter’s Dinner 2025

Welcome to an exciting new concept at Tollbua. On Thursday 25th September we invite you to a truly special evening – an exclusive dinner celebrating the very best of Nordic game.

Game meat comes from animals that have lived freely in nature, roamed the mountains, and fed on natural, unprocessed food. This gives the meat a distinctive aroma and a flavour that reflects the landscapes they have lived in. The variety of game is wide, and there are centuries-old traditions of hunting, preserving, and cooking.

Our Head Chef, Kristinn Gísli Jónsson, has created a menu designed especially for this evening, based on some of the finest ingredients. The menu combines foraged produce, wild-caught fish, birds supplied by local hunters, and select cuts of meat harvested in traditional ways. Kristinn and his team will prepare each dish with care and respect for the natural qualities of the ingredients.

What better way to welcome the autumn – and to celebrate the start of the hunting season?

Places for this evening are strictly limited, and the event will take place in the Chef’s Kitchen at Tollbua. The price includes a glass of champagne on arrival, and there will be various wine pairings available to purchase with the meal. Our sommeliers will be on hand to guide you, or you may browse our extensive wine list and pre-order something special for the evening.
